The Apple Tree
School is committed to
providing a school experience which will enhance the quality
of each child's life by being sensitive to individual needs

We
provide a comprehensive kindergarten program which includes:
- Reading: Houghton Mifflin Reading, McCracken Whole Language, beginning
spelling, journal writing
- Math: Identify shapes, recognize numerals 0-100, add sums
through 10, subtract from 10, tell time by the hour and half
hour, identify penny, nickel and dime
- Science: Awareness of five senses, basic ecology, basic weather,
insects, Space, etc.
- Social
Studies: Families, community, geography, USA, state,
city
- Writing: D'Nealian handwriting
- Computer
Enrichment: Computer use for learning reading, math
and cognitive skills
- Spanish: Simple sentences, nouns, verbs
- Music: Songs, rhymes, grouping, singing
